Nick Oettinger – Managing Director
Nick has previously worked as the Managing Director of a specialist construction company before moving into the waste and recycling industry. Following several years working as an improvement consultant in the industry, dealing with the full spectrum of waste types and processes, Nick concentrated on tackling difficult waste streams to generate a sustainable business which achieves maximum recycling.
Robin Eaves – Operations Director
Robin joined the group in November 2013 as the Business Development manager responsible for sales and site development across our two sites, in January 2015 was moved to the post of Operations Director. Having previously worked in the sporting world of football and rugby Union, I decided to take a new route in my career and started working in mattress recycling in 2011.
Dean Kay – Blackburn Site Manager
Dean was the first employee of The Furniture Recycling Group and has been instrumental in its process development and growth. Having overall operational responsibility for the Blackburn facility, Dean ensures that recycling standards and standards of health and safety are maintained and continually improved along with controlling through-put of the site.
Rob Whittaker - Riddings Site Manager
Rob was appointed Site Manager in November 2015 after progressing from the shop floor cutting line, to team leader of unloading and finally site supervisor before taking overall control of the site.

The Furniture Recycling Group works very closely with the Job Centre and Probation Service to provide employment opportunities for long term unemployed people and our commitment is to be able to offer sustainable employment, with training, which allows our team to grow and prosper, personally, as well as within the business.
We are extremely proud of our team members and currently we employ 43 people through our recycling activities.
